  • Online filing of Employer Annual Return (form P35 and form P14) and P60s to hand to your employees by 31st May following the end of the tax year.
  • Year end returns – Deadline is 19th May following the end of the tax year. There is a penalty of £100 per 50 employees per month or part month that your return is outstanding in the period from 20 May to 19 September. If your return remains outstanding, you'll receive further penalty notices in September and again the following January and May, if necessary. These penalties will be calculated the same way as the first one, so for each month or part month you delay filing your return the penalty will be £100 per 50 employees.
  • P11D - Deadline is 6th July following the end of the tax year. There is a penalty of £100 per 50 employees per month or part month your return is outstanding. Further penalties will be sent in November and again in March and July if still outstanding. Payment of Class 1A NIC is due by 19th July by cheque or 22nd July by electronic payment.
